Canoy Ready To Rumble in South Africa

Jason Canoy of the Omega Boxing Gym is ready for his World Boxing Federation bantamweight championship fight against Mzuvikile Magwaca on Friday, March 31.
Jason Canoy arrived in Cape Town, South Africa on Monday, March 27.
It was long trip that took them from Cebu to Dubai via Clark (10.5 hours), then Dubai to Cape Town (9.5 hours).
Canoy?s spirits are upbeat. Canoy: "Ready na kaayo ta mo duwa sa biyernes. Sakto ra ang adjustment time diri kay naa pay tulo ka adlaw bag-o ang fight."
Adjustment to the time was manageable since Cape Town is six hours behind the Philippines.
The weather is cool and pleasant. One can manage to go around without a jacket but it gets colder in the evening.
He was met at the airport by no less than World Boxing Federation President Howard Goldberg.
Shortly after checking in at the hotel, they went through the mandatory medical check-up, then rested in the hotel.
