 JC Manangquil.
Jim Claude Manangquil of Sanman Promotions will be awarded as the ?Best Promoter? in the prestigious 17th Gabriel ?Flash? Elorde Boxing Memorial Awards and Banquet of Champions on March 25 at the Tent of the Manila Hotel.
Manangquil, 24, CEO of the General Santos City-based Sanman Promotions, is the youngest recipient of the annual award.
Manangquil is also the world?s youngest boxing promoter and manager at the age of 14 in 2007.
?I was encouraged by my brother John Ray in boxing. In fact, I also trained as a boxer because of him? said Manangquil, who first formed the JM Promotions in 2007.
He then later organized the Sanman Promotions together with his brother John Ray and their good friend and fellow businessman Dexter Tan.
Sanman made nine promotions last year and had a total of seven championship fights ? International Boxing Federation (one), World Boxing Council (two), World Boxing Federation (three) and Philippine titles (two).
?I am very thankful for the award. I dedicate this to all Sanman members Dexter Tan, my brother John Ray Manangquil and the staff? said Manangquil.
?And also to all the Sanman fighters. For without them, I will not achieve anything.? said Manangquil.
Sanman boxers John Vincent Moralde, Reymart Gaballo, Mike Plania, Randy Petalcorin and Romero duno will also be cited in this year?s Elorde Awards Night.
