Sharp and Allan in rematch
By Brett Bonetti PhilBoxing.com Tue, 12 Mar 2013
Luke “Razor” Sharp (5-0-1) will battle Jeremy “The Anvil” Allan (8-12-3) again in a rematch for the vacant WA State Middleweight Title in the Main Event of Thunderdome at Metro City this Friday night in Perth, Australia.
In their first fight for the WA Title in August 2012, Sharp seemed to have done enough to claim the title with a points decision, but the judges saw the fight differently scoring the fight as a controversial Majority Draw.
The durable Allan in what is rumoured to be the last fight in his career, is putting everything into this rematch with Sharp as this could be the perfect way to bow out with a title.
Sharp is thrilled be in the Dragon Fire Main Event of Thunderdome and plans to claim the WA State Title he feels he should already have in his possession.
“This fight means everything to me. At the moment, work, my girlfriend, my friends and my family, everything has gotten put to the side for the past two months” Sharp said.
“I have trained like a demon and I am ready to go.”
“This title should already have my name engraved on it. I am not losing this one, you can count on that” Sharp said.
Also on the Thunderdome card is Jeremy Van Diemen vs Xavier Lucas, Matt Garlett vs Weng Heya and the return of “Cool” Willie Kickett as he faces Manopnoi Singmanasak.
This Friday night will be the first boxing event at Perth Metro City since June 2003.
