By Ronnie Nathanielsz PhilBoxing.com Sun, 13 Feb 2011

Japan’s undefeated 21 year old Kazuto Ioka in only the seventh fight in his career has won the WBC minimum weight title with a 5th round TKO over Thai champion Oleydong Sithsanerchai at the World Memorial Hall in Kobe, Friday.
Referee Bruce McTavish called a halt at 1:07 of round five after Oleydong was dropped once in the second and once in the fifth and appeared in no condition to continue.
It was the first defeat for the 25 year old Oleydong whose record now stands at 35-1-1 with 13 knockouts.
The Thai won the title from fellow Thailander Eagle Kyowa (Den Junlaphan) with a unanimous twelve round decision on November 29, 2007.
Ioka who was ranked No. 10 by the WBC and was coming off a 10th round TKO of Masayoshi Segawa to win the Japanese light flyweight title last October 10.
The world title victory of Ioka may well be a record in terms of the fewest number of bouts before winning a world title from a pre-eminent boxing organization such as the World Boxing Council.
