Ancajas & Rodriguez Make Weight

Both champion Jerwin Ancajas and Mexican challenger Jose Alfredo Rodriguez weighed less than 115 pounds, the weight ceiling for their fight tomorrow night, January 29, 2016, at the Cotai Arena, Venetian Hotel, Macau. The weigh-in was held at one of the luxurious conference halls of the Wynn Palace.
Jerwin defends his IBF world junior bantamweight title against Rodriguez within the maximum 12-round fight.
Manager-trainer Joven Jimenez refuses to make a prediction but is confident that Jerwin would successfully defend his crown.
Rodriguez, a former 108-lb interim world champion, is a hungry fighter who relishes his opportunity for another run to boxing prominence.
For this reason, Jerwin is not taking his opponent lightly. He knows that a single solidly landed punch could turn the tables against the hit fighter.
However, Todd Makelim, a former 3-time Australian champion who has fought the great Manny Pacquiao at flyweight and helped in Jerwin's training, has a prediction. He says that if Jerwin fights like the way he fought Arroyo last 3 September 2016, Rodriguez will not last 6 rounds. If not, Jerwin would still win by decision.
