By Marlon Bernardino PhilBoxing.com Mon, 16 Sep 2013
NATIONAL MASTER (NM) Jerad Docena (ELO 2227) of the Philippines played even better in his third game in the on-going World Junior Chess Championships 2013, turning back International Master Richard Wang of Canada on Monday being held at The Ness Hotel in Kocaeli, Turkey.
The Tagubaas, Antequera, Bohol native Docena raised his total to 2.0 points in three outings to climb at 22nd to 47th places, together with his fourth round opponent Sunilduth Lyna Narayanan (ELO 2408) of India.
Top seed GM Yu Yangyi (ELO 2662) of China, No.2 GM Alexander Ipatov (ELO 2601) of Turkey, No. 6 GM Salem A.R. Saleh (ELO 2570) of UAE and No.13 IM Duda Jan-Krzystof (ELO 2534) of Poland are leading the way in the Open Division with 3.0 points each.
