BIKA SNATCHES WBC SUPER MIDDLEWEIGHT TITLE, WINS MAJORITY DECISION OVER PERIBAN

Barclays Center, NY ? Sakio Bika (32-5-2, 21KO) of Australia won the Vacant WBC SUPER MIDDLEWEIGHT TITLE against Mexican Marco Periban (20-1-13, KOs).
The fight was wild where the new champion was swinging wild from the get go. Periban looked like the better schooled fighter but he was not as active as Bika.
Bika?s wild swings resulted in an output of 635 punches compared to 579 of Periban.
The judges scored the fight 114-114, 116-112, 115-113 for a majority decision victory for the former reality TV ESPN?s The Contender, Sakio Bika. Duljoman scored 116-112 for Bika.
