Lastimosa is PBF Youth light fly champ

UNBEATEN Jhonel “The Terror” Lastimosa stopped Robel dela Cerna in the second round to claim the vacant Philippine Boxing Federation Youth light flyweight title last June 21 at the DRP Sports Complex in Barangay Putatan, Muntinlupa City.
Dela Cerna was knocked down after being hit by a solid straight from Lastimosa.
Dela Cerna was given a mandatory count before and the fight had resumed.
The 21-year-old Lastimosa again hit Dela Cerna [LT1] with his countless left-and-right punches, forcing the referee to stop the fight.
“Thank you very much for giving me a big opportunity,” said Lastimosa.
Lastimosa of Ozamis City is now five wins with two draws and four knockouts.
"I'm gonna keep working hard to improve even more," said Lastimosa.
His younger brother Jhon Lowie Lastimosa, 20, also saw action in his debut by knocking out Marlon Clave in the 2nd round.
The Lastimosas' trainer is their own father Felixberto Lastimosa Jr. while the manager is Glenford Rafa, vice-president of PBF.
The fight was billed as “Bakbakan sa Putatan’. It was promoted by Dave Almario of DS Almario Promotion with Art Monis as the matchmaker.
