NBA - Memphi wins decisive Game 5 vs Clips

LOS ANGELES -- The Memphis Grizzlies moved a step closer to the second round of these NBA playoffs, beating the Los Angeles Clippers, 103-93, in Game 5 of their best-of-seven showdown Tuesday night at the Staples Center.
After dropping the first two games, the Grizzlies now control this series with a 3-2 lead, and they can close this out with a Game 6 victory Friday night at the FedEx Forum in Memphis.
"The rebounding won this game for us. We only had seven turnovers and we played the way we've been playing the last few games," Memphis head coach Lionel Hollins told NBA.com after his team out rebounded the Clippers 42-40.
Power forward Zach Randolph and center Marc Gasol did much of the heavy lifting for the Grizzlies. Randolph finished with 25 points and 11 rebounds while Gasol had 20 and eight boards. The bigs combined to make 17 of 35 field goals and 12 of 14 free throws. Mike Conley also had 20 points and six assists for Memphis and Tayshaun Prince chipped n 15, including a triple that gave the Grizzlies a 94-86 bubble with 1:29to go in the final period.
Blake Griffin suffered a high ankle sprain during practice and scored only four points in 19 minutes, Without him, Chris Paul led the Clippers with 35 points and sank 11 of 24 field goals. Jamal Crawford had 15 off the bench but no other Clipper scored in double figures. (MR)
