NBA -- Bulls snap Knicks' win streak at 13
By Fidel Garcia PhilBoxing.com Fri, 12 Apr 2013

CHICAGO -- Nate Robinson drilled 10 of 18 field goals on the way to a season-high 35 points and the Chicago Bulls snapped the New York Knicks' 13-game winning streak with a thrilling 118-111 overtime victory Thursday night at the United Center.
In a scintillating shooting display, Robinson swished 5-of-11 from 3-point bombs while going 10-for-10 from the free throw line. His lay-up with 1:36 left to play in overtime gave the Bulls a 114-107 advantage, which eventually led to a triumph that also ended the Bulls' two-game losing skid.
Jimmy Butler turned in another fine effort with 22 points and 14 rebounds while Luol Deng, playing with a bad hip, finished with 16 and eight boards. In his second game since returning from lower back spasms, Rip Hamilton tallied 14 markers and eight assists in 25 minutes of action.
The Bulls trailed by as many as 17 points in the opening quarter, 23-6, but they stormed back and cut the deficit to 59-55 at the half.
"Just Lu playing was huge for us.. And Nate had a monster night." Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau told reporters during his post-game press conference.
After averaging 41 points in his previous four outings, Knicks ace Carmelo Anthony chalked 36 points. But he struggled mightily from the floor, missing 21 of 34 field goals including all four of his 3-point attempts. Anthony could have won the game outright for the Knicks in regulation but his jumper with 1.5 seconds left bounced off the rim.
"There is no shame losing a streak like that," Knicks head coach Mike Woodson told NBA.com. (FG)
