NBA -- Bulls test streaking Knicks
By Fidel Garcia PhilBoxing.com Fri, 12 Apr 2013
CHICAGO -- Today's game at the United Center between the visiting New Yok Knicks (51-26) and host Chicago Bulls (42-35) features two teams headed on different paths.
Led by All-Star Carmelo Anthony, who has scored at least 35 points in his last five outings, the Knicks enter Chicago with the weight of a 13 game winning streak. As the second seed in the Eastern Conference, Knicks pose as a serious and real threat to the defending champion Miami Heat..
The Bulls, meanwhile, are the No.5 seed and have lost two in a row. Ravaged by injuries, the Bulls will be short-handed again tonight.
In their last outing on Tuesday night, the Bulls fell to the Toronto Raptors -- 101-98 -- despite the career-high 28 points of Jimmy Butler. The Bulls also lost Sunday to the Detroit Pistons, another non-playoffs team.
The Knicks' extended their streak to 13 by beating the Washington Wizards, 120-99, at the Verizon Center in Washington D.C. Anthony exploded for 36 points that night when the Knicks clinched the Atlantic Division for the first time since 1994..
The Bulls have already beaten the Knicks thrice this season will be eyeing a sweep.
Tyson Chandler (neck), Kenyon Martin (ankle), Kurt Thomas (foot), Rasheed Wallace (foot) and Amare Stoudemire (knee) wont't play today. On the Bulls side, Derrick Rose (knee) and Taj Gibson (MCL sprain) are out while Joakim Noah (foot) and Luol Deng (hip) are both questionable. FG).
