Sign the petition for Spinal Cord Injury Research Funding

Dear Friends, Fans and Family,
New York State has taken away crucial funding needed for Spinal Cord Injury Research due to severe budget issues. While we can all argue and debate what led to New York's financial problems, there's no disputing that more than 1 MILLION Americans (many of which live in New York) desperately need this funding to be reinstated so they can potentially walk again in the future.
Popular New York boxer Captain Boyd "Rainmaker" Melson's donated his fight purses to help with a pending clinical trial that is directly tied into Spinal Cord Injury Research. He's been an important figure in all of this and his selfless efforts were featured on Yahoo, ESPN, Sports Illustrated and various other notable media outlets.
I kindly ask that you take a minute out of your busy day and sign the below petition, Please post this on your blog or website, tweet it and pass it along to your friends.
Governor Cuomo has already been contacted about this and petitions DO make a difference; take SOPA for example. Together, the fight community, friends, fans and family can demand the SCI funding for New York State be reinstated.
