WBO WORLD CHAMPION MOISES FUENTES HAS A BETTER RECORD THAN WAS PREVIOUSLY KNOWN
By Mike Angel Lopez PhilBoxing.com Sun, 24 Feb 2013
 Fuentes.
It was revealed that WBO world minimumweight champion Moises Fuentes, Nietes's opponent on March 2, has a better record than what was posted on Boxrec.com, the free online boxing database, which gave Fuentes a record of 16 wins, 1 loss with 8 knockouts.
The commentator on the fight of Fuentes vs Calderon was heard saying that Fuentes has a better record than what was posted on Boxrec.com. When the flamboyant manager of Fuentes, Jorge Barrera, was asked if this is true, he said Fuentes's official record is 26 wins, 1 loss with 20 knockouts. Many of his fights were not posted on Boxrec.com, according to Barrera.
The website Boxrec.com has over 150 people, including managers, promoters, matchmakers and writers, who can add, delete, or change information in the Boxrec data base.
Fight Fax, a paid boxing database service, has been the ABC?s official record keeper for nine years.
Fight Fax's accuracy was found to be one hundred percent. Boxrec's accuracy was found to be substantially lower.? Fight Fax has only one person, editor and owner Anibal Miramontes, who can add, delete, or change information in the Fight Fax data base.?
Every result listed on Fight Fax's records has the official commission report as proof. Boxing commissions in the United States are required by law to send their fight results to Fight Fax within 48 hours during the business week, and Fight Fax receives the official results from boxing commissions from around the world, as well.
WBO World Light Flyweight Champion Donnie Nietes will defend his championship belt against WBO World Minimumweight Champion Moises Fuentes at the PINOY PRIDE XVIII on March 2 at the Waterfront Hotel and Casino in Cebu City, Philippines
