 Will Young.
Toowoomba?s own ?Iron? Will Young is all set to face Townsville?s Derek Webber as part of the ?Smithy Brings the Big Fights 3? card on March 8 in Toowoomba.
Young who will be contesting his third professional fight is fast growing a reputation as one of Australia?s most exciting and crowd pleasing fighters. With constant pressure and an all action style, Young will need to bring his A game to deal with Derek Webber.
?I am very happy to add yet another exciting and even match up to the card? said promoter Brendon Smith.
?Will is an exciting fighter with a good following and we are all looking forward to seeing him back in the ring, however once again he has a tough fight and he needs to be 100% if he wants to win.?
Webber, who has only had one professional boxing fight, is a well accomplished Muay Thai fighter.
?The majority of my experience comes from muay thai? said Webber.
?However, as a developing pro boxer the best way forward for me is to continue to have great match ups like this. March 8 is my focus and there is a lot of hard training to come.?
This fight will be a part of the ?Smithy Brings the Big Fights 3? card scheduled for March 8 at Rumours International in Toowoomba.
The main event will be the clash for the vacant WBF Asia Pacific Youth featherweight title between Brayd ?The Great White? Smith and Shogo Sakai of Japan. Also on the card is local cruiserweights Josh Webb Vs Dale Ryan, English Import Darren Askew Vs Brett John Smith as well as undefeated prospect Kris George.
Tickets for the event are currently on sale at Smithy?s Gym in Toowoomba at $75 for Ringside and $45 for general and as a special offer Smithy?s Gym is giving away a 5 day gym trial valued at $75 for every ringside ticket purchased.
