NBA -- Bulls overhaul 17-point deficit to beat Pistons By Kristin Haas PhilBoxing.com Thu, 24 Jan 2013 ![]() The Chicago Bulls came from behind to make it 17 straight wins in the series against the Detroit Pistons with a furious fourth quarter comeback and a final score of 85-82 off a go ahead layup by Marco Belinelli. The opportunity came off a 3 pointer that ricocheted off the rim and headed out of bounds until Joakim Noah came out of nowhere to save the ball inbounds and Belinelli grabbed the loose ball to finish with a layup and foul sending him to the line. Marco nailed the free throw to make it a three point game and Detroit called a timeout but with two attempts at a game tying three, they came up empty as the United Center roared in victory. Detroit started the third on an 8-0 run and had forced 14 turnovers up to that point but could not seal the game as the Bulls had clawed their way back from a deficit that grew to as many as 17 late in the third quarter. Nate Robinson led the attack in the fourth with nine consecutive points to turn up the intensity and crowd as he beckoned the crowd to get on their feet upon getting up after a foul call that sent him to the line. When asked how he felt about coming in the fourth quarter and bringing a spark for the rest of the team Robinson stated, ?That?s always something I pride myself in doing, is play as hard as I can no matter if the crowd is rocking or the place is dead.? Nate certainly spread the fire in the fourth since the Bulls had been shooting just below 40% throughout the first three quarters and finished the game with 43.7% field goal percentage on the night. Once again Chicago laid it all out on defense holding Detroit to just 14 points in the fourth and winning on the boards both offensively and defensively 43-37. The last victory the Pistons took while in Chicago was Dec. 3, 2005 and have not won in the overall series since Dec. 23, 2008.
