Elite Heat?s Boxers Fight Their Way To Nationals PhilBoxing.com Fri, 18 Jan 2013 To continue their dominating way, six amateur boxers from the renowned Elite Heat Boxing Gym in Newark, NJ cruised their way into the nationals, emerging as champions in the regional silver gloves tournament. Over the past few years Elite Heat has established itself as having one of the top amateur boxing programs in the nation, as they consistently produce champion fighters of all ages and weights. ?Team Elite Heat shined at the regionals,? said Vito Mielnicki, owner of Elite Heat Boxing. ?We took six out of eight boxers that qualified for the tournament to the nationals.? The seventh boxer who made it into the nationals fought out of Garden State Boxing. The results of the regional silver gloves are as follows: Eysa Dorsey def. Elias Short, CT 10/11 yr. 70 lbs. Vito Mielnicki def. Tyler Capasso, CT 10/11 yr. 75 lbs. Malik Nelson walk over 12/13 yr. 75 lbs. Rajohn Chance def. Felix Parrillo, CT 12/13 yr. 80 lbs. Anthony Fluentes def. Natash Williams, NY 12/13 yr. 85 lbs. Maduah Abdus Salaam def. Saquan Anthony, NY 12/13 yr. 132 lbs. John Bauza def. Jeffrey Torres, CT 14/15 yr. 125 lbs. Winning is nothing new for Team Elite when they travel to the national tournaments. They have showed in each tournament that they have one of the most formidable amateur programs in the country, and expect to continue their dominating ways and win the championship in the 2013 Silver Gloves Nationals. The accomplishments of Elite Heat?s young amateur boxers speak for themselves: Vito Mielnicki is a 2 time Junior Golden Glove National Champion and 2012 Ringside World Champion Malik Nelson is a Jr. Golden Glove Champion and 2012 Ringside World Champion Eysa Dorsey was the 2012 Jr. Golden Glove National Champion Rajohn Chance was a 2011 Jr. Golden Glove National Champion Not only specializing in amateur boxing, Elite Heat Boxing in Newark is home to an array of up-and-coming prospects, including undefeated super middleweight John Thompson (10-0).
