He will take on Queensland?s Brett John Smith in what Askew has described himself as a very even match. ?This is a 50/50 fight. It?s a very even match and I need to bring my A game if I want to walk away with the win,? said Askew. Holding a record of 5 wins, 4 losses and 1 draw (with 2 wins by KO), Brett John Smith has been in with some of Australia?s best. ?Brett is an honest fighter who has a wealth of experience,? said Brendon Smith, trainer and manager of Darren Askew. ?He is a hot and cold fighter however we are expecting the best Brett Smith on the night and Darren is preparing as such to come away with the win.? Also a confirmed match for the night is local cruiser weight Josh Webb who will be going toe to toe with the rough and tough Dale Ryan.
