PACQUIAO AND MARQUEZ OUT FOR BLOOD

PhilBoxing.com

Both camps promised that this will be their last fight and no more fifth battle shall be proclaimed. And both legendary fighters Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez are determined to win convincingly, if possible by stoppage. No more questionable judges? scoring and no more sour-graping.

They want to show to the world who the better fighter is, thus the WBO Champion of the Decade belt is at stake. The title though is controversial as it was annexed by the sanctioning organization just to add flavor to the much anticipated quadrilogy. Even without the title, the label PAC-JMM or ?Pacman vs. Dinamita? is already a blockbuster.

There is much expectation that the fourth encounter will be more dramatic than the last three fights. At the first announcement of the Pacquiao-Marquez IV, mixed reactions emanate from the fans all throughout the fight-loving planet. But as December 8, 2012 draws near, the interest of the fourth encounter rises dramatically and all sports media are talking about it.

The last time these two ring gladiators faced each other, they clashed in the catchweight of 144 lbs. During the fourth encounter they will be fighting at the full welterweight limit of 147 lbs.

Lately, it was observed that Marquez has added muscle and could be heavier than Pacquiao. He was even suspected of taking performance enhancing drugs which he vehemently denied.

Marquez was reportedly saying he does not want an added weight and will not be using the maximum limit come fight day. "Although the limit of the fight is at 147-pounds, I won't weigh that much. I'm going to climb into the ring at 143 or 144 pounds, which is a weight where I physically feel better," Marquez was quoted by Boxing Scene.

Though added weight makes Marquez slower, but it would be more difficult for Pacquiao to press him forward. The third fight was the only encounter Marquez was not floored. And a bulkier Marquez would demand tougher blows from Pacquiao.

?I think like Juan ? that everybody wanted this fight. This is the fourth time they will be fighting and I think it?s going to be a sensational fight. Juan is the most difficult fighter that Manny Pacquiao has ever faced. This fight will have more people around the world watching than any other fight out there,? Nacho Beristain was quoted by Bleacher Report.

Beristain expects a much improved Pacquiao but reasoned out they are well prepared to ?dominate the fight and we are going to beat him again.?

Earlier, Pacquiao conceded that Marquez counterpunching has been giving him a complicated fight. ?Juan really understands how to fight southpaws. He's a very smart man and an excellent fighter. His deliberate and patient style of fighting is a product that comes from experience, and experience against great opposition. He's a brilliant counterpuncher,? Pacquiao told ESPN. ?My trainer, Freddie Roach, has said many times that Juan is the only smart one out there?the only fighter who has figured me out.?
