Young woodpushers in Capiz want exposure and surprise

Young and aspiring chess players from the province of Capiz will take part in the 4th edition of the Touchmove Invitational Open Rapid Chess Tournament, held at the atrium of SM City in Roxas City on August 24.
The tournament features a seven-round Swiss format, with each round allowing 15 minutes of game time along with an additional 3-second increment for each move.
Among the officially registered participants were civil engineers and chess enthusiasts Michael Falsis (from the City Engineers Office of the Roxas City Government) and Ronel Bryle Alsagon (from DPWH, Capiz 1st Engineering District).
Also registered were notable young players Abraham Clint Pontino, Matthew Palalimpa, and Scot Philip Gibson, who are recognized as regional standouts in WVRAA, WVPRISA, and SCUAA.
