MADE IN AMERICA: Finally Elite American Fighters Collide! By Anthony 'Duljoman' Andales PhilBoxing.com Sun, 09 Sep 2012 Mt. Pleasant, SC ? FOR American boxing fans, the collision of Andre Ward and Chad Dawson is the best thing to happen for USA boxing right now. Young, talented, proven and they are on top of their games. Chad Dawson the prime Light Heavyweight champion is challenging the Super champion of 168 pounders Super Middleweight Andre Ward. Made in America! In boxing, when was the last time we've seen a fight with these quality and is made in America? If we go to Wal-Mart, you?ll never see a made in America right there. If you go to Heavyweights, those are all made in Germany via Ukraine. Then there goes made in Republic of Philippines, in Mexico, in Puerto Rico, Argentina, etc? The list continues. But the biggest boxing stage is here in the US, the biggest boxing fans, the walking boxing encyclopedias are here in the US and best boxers ever were made in the US. Since we don?t have Tyson vs Holyfield, Holyfield vs Bowe, Hopkins vs Jones Jr, Dela Hoya vs Mosley, Tyson vs Spinks, Leonard vs Hearns, Leonard vs Hagler, Hagler vs Hearns anymore, we hear / read that boxing is dying. Don?t get me wrong! Boxing is not dying at all, there is just no fights that are made in America, that?s it. There is Mayweather but he doesn?t have a dance partner that is made in the US. He got a partner, in fact a very good dancing partner in the name of Pacquiao (but he is not made in America) and they?re not dancing cause both parties think they are bigger than boxing itself. They try to negotiate but no negotiations happened because both parties don?t wanna listen to each others plea. Both parties wanted to be the boxing commission also. We fans were deprived of a supposedly great fight. But don?t worry boxing fans, today Sept. 8, 2012, we have a good one, that is made in America. Both are champions, both are young, both are talented and both are tested. No non sense talking. These guys want to fight and to entertain core boxing fans. And they are MADE IN AMERICA, first class! To become Super Six Supermiddleweight champion, Andre Ward defeated Sakio Bika, Mikkel Kessler, Arthur Abraham and Carl Froch, no sweat. And Ward was crowned the Super Champ of 168 lbs. He did not cherry picked, he clubbered champions to become the champions of champions. Meanwhile Dawson defeated big guns too, he is not cherry picking either. He beat Adamek to capture WBC Lightheavyweight title, wrecked both Glen Johnson and Antonio Tarver. He lost to Canadian Jean Pascal but but the big story is on how he bounced back by defeating Adrian Diaconu and legendary Bernard Hopkins. Now he is the Ring Magazine?s 175 lbs best of the best. Now listen, this is Masyadors in Vegas right here, if you bet for Ward, your $360 will only win $100, in Vegas term, Ward is -360. If you put money on Dawson, your $100 will win $260, in other words Dawson is +260. Here?s the deal, if you ask me, this is a 50/50, Andre slight advantage on boxing skills but Dawson is stronger? it is safe to bet for Ward but you have to bet more and win less, but if you go with Dawson you bet less and win more. So, I?ll put money on Dawson and enjoy this fight that is Made in America with made in American beers on the side. I don?t usually drink beer, but when I do? Oh!BeerTime A week before Glenn Donaire?s fight, Glenn is 116 lbs, 4 over the contracted 112lbs limit? Andy Roddick made his final match of his career with a losing note, he is supposed to be the American?s heir apparent of Agassi and Sampras but he is always short to becoming one, happy retirement!... I picked Adrian Peterson on my fantasy football team and he is still not 100%, but if he?ll get to 96% I?ll be happy and with Drew Breese on the side, I am golden?. What do you guys think is the title of this 4th encounter between Manny and Juan? ?Going for the 5th one???... before Mar Roxas became the new DILG secretary to replace the well loved late Secretary Robredo, one of the candidates for the seat is wearing slippers for a week going to office, and still he didn?t get the nod of Pnoy? Btw, Happy Fiesta to all in St. Nicholas de Tolentino parish especially to my teacher Sir Melanio Mabatid? and Happy birthday to my nephew Shaun Marco Paez-Andales, keep on dribbling there at Don Bosco?
