Shamrock and Rumble: NESN and SNY to Broadcast O'Connor vs. Sostre

Boston, MA June 12, 2012 - Rising junior welterweight prospect Danny O'Connor has helped reintroduce a bit of rock and rumble back to his beloved city of Boston, Massachusetts with the help of his friends Dropkick Murphys. Don't miss your opportunity to witness O'Connor's latest bout verses New York's Daniel Sostre via the New England Sports Network (NESN) and SportsNet New York (SNY). The NESN broadcast will premier Thursday, June 14 at 8:00 EST throughout the New England region. Additionally, the bout will also be featured for those in the Greater New York area as part of the weekly Broadway Boxing series on Sunday, June 17 at 8:00 pm EST.
The show was the first professional boxing card ever staged at the Boston House of Blues. The capacity crowd was treated to an exciting night featuring Boston vs. New York bouts, live traditional Irish music, and a special appearance by the popular band Dropkick Murphys. With elements of both sports and rock-n-roll a truly unique atmosphere was established. O'Connor is continuing to distinguish himself within the Boston sports landscape and remains deeply committed to achieving his world title aspirations.
