PINOY PRIDE XIV: SERVANIA VS GARCIA TO AIR JUNE 8 ON STUDIO 23

The Pinoy Pride XIV NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS Fight of the Night which showcased the Philippines' rising star Genesis "Azukal" Servania against the highly experienced world championship veteran Genaro "Poblanito" Garcia of Mexico will be shown for the first time on Studio 23.
The excitingly electrifying Servania-Garcia match-up that pitted youth vs experience will be shown this Friday June 8, 2012 on Studio 23 at 530 pm to 830pm on the said date.?
Considered to be the young Servania's first major test, the Bacolod native passed with flying colors against the seasoned Garcia who has fought in 8 world title bouts and has beaten the legendary Rafael Marquez via 2nd round KO. The Bacolod City, Philippines native youngster who is also known as "Azukal" showed his wide array of skills and smarts early in the bout before ending the contest in the final stages of the 12th round this time displaying power.
During interviews after the fight, the Mexican Garcia was quoted as saying "Servania is strong. Stronger than Nishioka." referring to the world champion Toshiaki Nishioka of Japan whom Garcia also lost to via 12the round TKO.?
Due to public demand, the Pinoy Pride 14 Night of Champions will again be aired this time with the full Servania vs Garcia bout for the WBC Silver International Super Bantamweight Belt. PP 14 also features WBO World Number 1 Milan "Metodico" Melindo vs former world champion and current WBO Number 9 Jesus Gelez of Colombia for the new WBO International Championship as supporting main event to Donnie Nietes' first defense of his WBO World Jr. Flyweight Championship against hard charging Mexican prospect Felipe Salguero.
