By Anthony 'Duljoman' Andales PhilBoxing.com Fri, 09 Dec 2011

Kissimmee, FL -- Glenn "The Filipino Bomber" Donaire weighed 111.8 lbs while Alex Sanchez of Puerto Rico was over by 3/4 lb when he stepped the scales on the first try. Sanchez was given 2 hours to reduce but he was still over by 1/4 lb on the second try. He finally made 112 lbs even on the third try.
Glenn's father and trainer, Nonito Donaire Sr., informed that he was pressured and excited about this fight. "Hopefully Glenn can execute what we've been training in the gym and I think he is stronger. In fact if Glenn uses his jabs well, he can dictate this fight," said Donaire, Sr.
The fight will be for the Interim WBC Flyweight Latino title to be held at the Kissimmee Civic Center in Kissimmee, Florida.
All Star Boxing, Inc., Promoter Tuto Zabala, Jr. and Telemundo Network will conclude the 2011 successful series ?Boxeo TELEMUNDO Ford? today, December 9.
Donaire vs. Sanchez is the main event of the evening. The first bout will begin at 8:30 p.m. and will be followed by six additional fights rounding out the card. Telemundo Network will televise the main event live at 11:35 p.m. EST.
The trainer/father said he is hopeful that the Filipino fans will support Glenn Donaire's comeback fight just like they supported his Glenn's younger brother.
