WBO EXEC SAYS RAMBING WILL BE MISSED

WBO Asia Pacific chairman Leon Panoncillo has said that the late Indonesian promoter Temuzin Rambing is a friend and will be missed.
Rambing, who passed away last Friday in an Indonesian hospital following an illness, had promoted WBO, WBC and PABA sanctioned events, and at 29 years old was one of Asia's youngest boxing promoters. He had promoted fights in Indonesia involving Filipino fighters, and was a fixture in Philippine boxing bringing Indonesian fighters at local cards.
Indonesian journalist Jeff Pamungkas, who informed friends of Rambings passing away, said the young promoter "was hospitalized 3 weeks ago for mysterious high fever. My last communication with him was about 4-5 days ago. He said the lab result showed he had toxoplasma, and the doctors were still analyzing the other sickness he might suffer from.... Then yesterday I heard the sad news. He passed away around 6:15PM, leaving a wife and a 4-year old son."
