Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero and Undefeated Rising Prospect Robert Guerrero Jr. to Appear at 3rd Annual Battle of the Trades on April 25 PhilBoxing.com Thu, 23 Apr 2026 ![]() A Celebration of Skill, Strength, and Community for a Great Cause LAS VEGAS, NV (April 22, 2026) — The Southern Nevada Building Trades Unions are proud to announce that former multi-division world champion Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero and his undefeated son, rising pro boxer, Robert Guerrero Jr., will attend as special guests at the 3rd Annual Battle of the Trades, taking place this Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the Torrey Pines Resource Community Center. Battle of the Trades has quickly become one of the most anticipated community events in Southern Nevada, bringing together skilled tradesmen and women for a day defined by competition, camaraderie, and purpose. Beyond the action, the event is rooted in giving back, with proceeds benefiting Center Ring Boxing, a nonprofit gym dedicated to mentoring local youth through discipline, structure, and positive guidance. Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero is widely respected as one of boxing’s most accomplished champions, having captured world titles across multiple weight divisions while building a reputation for grit, resilience, and heart inside the ring. Known for his willingness to face elite competition, Guerrero’s career has made him a role model for fighters and fans alike. Guerrero emphasized the importance of community-driven events that create opportunities for the next generation. “Events like this mean a lot because they bring people together for something bigger than themselves,” Guerrero said. “The trades, boxing, it’s all built on discipline, hard work, and respect. To see those worlds come together to support kids at Center Ring Boxing is powerful. That’s how you change lives.” Joining him is his son, Robert Guerrero Jr., an emerging talent who is already making his own mark in the sport with an undefeated record and a growing reputation for skill and composure beyond his years. For Guerrero Jr., the opportunity to be part of an event that supports youth development carries personal meaning as he continues his own journey in the sport. “It’s inspiring to be around something like this,” Guerrero Jr. said. “I’m still building my path and seeing how boxing can give back to the community motivates me even more. I want to be part of that, not just in the ring, but outside of it too.” Aaron Ibarra of the Southern Nevada Building Trades Unions highlighted the significance of welcoming respected figures like the Guerreros. “Having Robert Guerrero and his son join us elevates an already special event,” Ibarra said. “They represent the same values we stand for, hard work, perseverance, and giving back. This event is about more than competition…it’s about strengthening our community and supporting organizations like Center Ring Boxing that are making a real difference.” Longtime boxing coach Tony Valdez, who has dedicated years to mentoring youth through boxing, emphasized the impact of events like Battle of the Trades. “Support from fighters like Robert ‘The Ghost’ Guerrero and his son means everything to our gym and these kids,” Valdez said. “We’re not just teaching them how to box, we’re helping shape their character. When the community rallies behind them, it gives them a real chance at a better future.” With past events selling out and generating tremendous energy, the 3rd Annual Battle of the Trades is expected to once again draw a passionate crowd for a day that celebrates the hardworking men and women of the trades, while investing directly into the future of local youth. This event is brought to you by Southern Nevada Building Trades Unions in association with Center Ring Boxing. Doors open at 12:00 pm.
