By Rene Bonsubre, Jr. PhilBoxing.com Mon, 31 May 2010

Johnriel Casimero?s upcoming fight against Ramon Garcia Hirales of Mexico has been moved to July. Promoter Sammy Gello-ani informed through e-mail that he just got a confirmation from Sampson Lewkowicz of Sampson Boxing, LLC that most
likely the fight of Casimero will be in La Paz, Baja California , Mexico against Garcia Hirales on July 03, 2010. This fight was initially reported to be held at New York?s Madison Square Garden.
The 20 year old Casimero (14-0, 8 KO?s) hails from Ormoc City, Leyte and fights out of the Omega Boxing Gym of Cebu. He won the WBO interim light flyweight belt last December in Managua, Nicaragua against Cesar Canchila of Colombia by 11th round knockout.
Casimero has been training for the past few months and was even reported to be fighting WBO champ Ivan Calderon of Puerto Rico in June but the fight was cancelled. For now, he will have to concentrate on his dangerous Mexican challenger.
The 27 year old Hirales (12W-1L. 8 KO?s) is a southpaw and a native of La Paz. He successfully defended his WBC lt.flyweight intercontinental title last February with a 2nd round TKO of Michael Arango. He has held the WBC intercontinental belt since 2009.
Gello-ani has also informed that he will have a fight card on June 19 in Cavite and then on July 31 in Mandaluyong featuring the defense of Rey Labao's WBO-Asia Pacific jr.lightweight title against Thai Chaiyong Sithsaithong.
