HBO TO REPLAY OLD OSCAR, MANNY FIGHTS

Dec. 1, 2008 - Leading up to the welterweight super fight between Oscar de la Hoya and Manny Pacquiao ? set for Saturday, Dec. 6 in Las Vegas and broadcast live on HBO Pay-Per-View ? HBO Sports will present the exclusive replay of a career-defining fight in each fighter?s portfolio.
On Friday, Dec. 5 at 11:00 p.m. (ET/PT) and Saturday, Dec. 6 at 8:30 a.m. (ET/PT), HBO2 will replay De La Hoya vs. Quartey 1999 followed immediately by Diaz vs. Pacquiao 2008. Both fights took place under the bright lights of Las Vegas and were career-defining moments for the two winners. In 1999, De La Hoya held on to his welterweight title in a thrilling 12-round split decision victory over Ike Quartey, while earlier this year, Pacquiao added another title to his name by jumping up to the lightweight ranks and scoring a 9th round KO over David Diaz.
The fights will also be available to HBO On Demand subscribers and can be seen 24 hours a day, starting Monday, Dec. 1.
On Saturday, Dec. 6 at 9:00 p.m. ET/ 6:00 p.m. PT, HBO Pay-Per-View will present De La Hoya vs. Pacquiao live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
