Cebuano "Money Punch" Elmo Traya Heading to Georgia for WBF World Title Shot! By Carlos Costa PhilBoxing.com Thu, 16 Apr 2026 ![]() CEBU CITY, Philippines — Mandaue City’s own Elmo "Money Punch" Traya (16-6, 11 KOs) is fired up and ready for war. Our Cebuano warrior flies to Tbilisi, Georgia, in Eastern Europe, to battle hometown boxer Givi Todua (5-4, 2 KOs) for the vacant WBF (World Boxing Federation) Middleweight World Title on Saturday, May 2. Coming off a tough setback last October in Bangkok, the 31-year-old "Money Punch" Traya is hungry for redemption. That’s why he sees this clash with 21-year-old Todua as the perfect chance to storm back into the winning column with a big bang. The cool, calm Traya has been training hard in the high elevation of Baguio City — our “Summer Capital of the Philippines, The City of Pines” — laser-focused for this important 12-round battle. There, he runs, trains, and spars under the guidance of our old friend, former GAB Super Light Champion and coach Alan Alegria Sr., a trainer known for his knowledge, dedication, and experience. Fighting in Georgia? No problem. Enemy territory doesn’t faze him. The Cebuano has already battled in Poland, Thailand, and the U.A.E. Elmo’s coming to take that belt and earn the nod in Georgia. ![]() Elmo Traya brings his experience and heart to Georgia for WBF 160 Pound World Title War. But it won’t be easy. Still, our ring-savvy Cebuano is confident, strong, and ready for the fight of his life. Traya vs Todua — the battle of the T’s! If I find out how to watch it LIVE, I’ll let you know. This world title showdown is sanctioned by the World Boxing Federation, led by President Howard Goldberg of South Africa, in collaboration with the Georgian Professional Boxing Union — Georgia’s recognized boxing commission. Best of luck to our Cebuano warrior Elmo "Money Punch" Traya from Philboxing 🇵🇭 The Filipino Boxing Portal, Laban Pinoy!
