He won the vacant WBA (Regular) mini-flyweight title against Robert Paradero by split decision in February 2021. He lost the title to Erick Rosa by split decision in December 2021 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

Plans are in the works with promoter Marryanne Millie to arrange an exhibition fight between eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao and three-time world champion Anthony “The Man” Mundine most probably in July in Papua New Guinea.

Mundine and Australian Hall of Fame promoter Peter Maniatis attended a professional boxing event in Papau New Guinea whose Prime Minister James Marape is a big sports and boxing fan.

Anthony Mundine Jr. is an Australian former professional boxer and rugby league footballer. He turned to boxing from 2000 to 2021, and held the WBA super-middleweight title twice between 2003 and 2008. He has also held the IBO middleweight title from 2009 to 2010, and the WBA interim super-welterweight title from 2011 to 2012.

Anthony Mundine, now aged 47, born in Newtown, New South Wales, Australia has 48 wins, 28 by KOs, 11 losses. Before his move to boxing, Mundine was reportedly the highest-paid player in the National Rugby League (NRL).

The Brazil national football team, nicknamed Seleção Canarinho (Canary Squad because of their yellow jersey), is a member of FIFA since 1923. Brazil has the most titles in the FIFA World Cup, being champions five times in 1958, 1962, 1970, 1994 and 2002.

The Seleção also has the best record of 76 victories in 114 matches played, 129 goal difference, 247 points, and 19 losses. It is the only football team that played in all World Cup tournaments without any absence nor need for playoffs.

* * *

Brazil is the only national team to win the World Cup in four different continents: once in Europe (1958 Sweden), once in South America (1962 Chile), twice in North America (1970 Mexico and 1994 United States), and once in Asia (2002 South Korea/Japan).
