Puerto Rican Featherweight Makes Quick Return to the Ring, Looks to Stay Undefeated

ORLANDO, FL (March 19, 2026) – Boxlab Promotions undefeated featherweight Carlos De Leon (7-0, 6 KOs) is preparing to take another step forward in his promising career as he faces Damian Alcala (8-7, 2 KOs) in a six-round bout on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at the Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando.

The event, promoted by Matchroom Boxing in association with Boxlab Promotions, will stream live worldwide on DAZN. Known for his knockout power and aggressive style, De Leon enters this fight looking to continue his rise while delivering a statement performance on a global stage.

De Leon on His Recent Training Camp
Heading into this bout, De Leon emphasized that his training camp has been one of focus, discipline, and evolution as he continues to sharpen his identity as a fighter.

“This camp has been about taking everything to another level,” said De Leon. “I’m training to win…I’m training to dominate. We worked on my conditioning, my timing, and staying sharp every round. I feel stronger, faster, and more focused than ever. I’ve been pushing myself like I already have a title on the line, because that’s the mindset I carry into every fight. I’m still building, still learning, and my confidence is at an all-time high. Every day in camp I remind myself that there’s another level I have to reach, and I’m working to show that on fight night.”

De Leon on His Matchup with Damian Alcala
Facing a durable opponent in Alcala, De Leon understands the importance of staying disciplined while still delivering the kind of performance that separates rising prospects from the rest.

“Alcala is a tough guy, and I respect anyone who steps in the ring,” De Leon said. “But I’m coming into this fight with a purpose. I want to show that I’m an elite fighter that has emerged from the amateur ranks into a solid professional. I’m prepared for whatever he brings, but I’m coming to set the pace, break him down, and show my power. When I step in that ring, I want it to be clear that I’m on a different level.”

De Leon on What Continuing His Winning Streak Means for His Career
With an undefeated record and a high knockout ratio, De Leon sees this fight as a key moment to build momentum and position himself for bigger opportunities.

“Every win is important, but this one is about building my name,” De Leon explained. “I want to keep moving forward, step by step, and show that I’m ready for tougher fights. A strong performance here opens doors, and that’s what I’m focused on. I came into this sport to make an impact. I want to keep climbing, keep improving, and put myself in position for the big fights that define careers.”

De Leon on Fighting on DAZN
Fighting on a global platform like DAZN provides De Leon with the opportunity to showcase his talent to a worldwide audience, and he plans to take full advantage.

“Fighting on DAZN is a big opportunity for me,” said De Leon. “This is where the world gets to see who I am. I know people in Puerto Rico will be watching, and I’m ready to give them something exciting. When you fight on a stage like this you must stand out. I’m coming to bring energy, power, and a performance that people remember.”

Amaury Piedra on De Leon’s Development
Amaury Piedra, President of Boxlab Promotions, believes De Leon is trending in the right direction as he continues to develop into a serious contender.

“Carlos De Leon continues to stand out with the progress he’s making,” said Piedra. “His power is undeniable, but what really separates him is his dedication and commitment to getting better every day. He’s moving at the right pace and developing the right way. We believe he has tremendous upside, and if he stays on this path, bigger opportunities are definitely ahead.”

With momentum building and another opportunity to shine on a major platform, Carlos De Leon is determined to deliver a performance that reinforces his status as one of the rising featherweights to watch.
