JINKEE SAYS PACQUIAO IS A CHANGED MAN NOW By Ronnie Nathanielsz PhilBoxing.com Wed, 14 May 2008 During his final day's workout at the Gerry Penalosa Gym in Mandaluyong City hours before his departure for the US, Manny Pacquiao leaned over the ropes and kissed his charming wife Jinkee and smiled before getting back to his training regimen. In many ways the contented looks on both their faces and their clearly visible smiling disposition sent a clear message that all is well in the Pacquiao family household and that whatever problems they encountered were a thing of the past. Pacquiao strode into the Penalosa gym looking dapper in a barong which he wore to a courtesy call on President Arroyo, one of his staunchest supporters through the years and was completely relaxed. Jinkee in a fetching outfit of silk shorts and a matching blouse looked radiant. She let us in on the secret during a conversation with Dyan Castillejo of ABS-CBN and this reporter.. ?He is a changed man now ?she said. ?We discussed the fact that Its so much better if we are together most of the time so we are closer. That?s our arrangement.? Jinkee added, ?he is a good man, talaga. Nobody is perfect and its important that we support him all the time so that we take care of our relationship.? Jinkee said she was ?happy that he had realized his mistakes before. Now he has many plans for his family and its nice hearing it from him.? She said it would be ?difficult if it came from me. It's best that he realizes and it emanates from him.? Jinkee revealed for sometime now ?its been training, family and home and finishing his studies.? Asked about her feelings on the fight against WBC lightweight champion David Diaz, Jinkee Pacquiao said ?I am relaxed, not nervous because I saw his (Diaz's) fight against Ramon Montano on the undercard of the Pacquiao-Juan Manuel Marquez fight and I know Manny can handle him easily. I am one hundred percent sure because of his skill and power.? Click here to view a list of other articles written by Ronnie Nathanielsz. |
