Phannaluk Ready for Hee Jung Yuh Rematch in Korea PhilBoxing.com Tue, 08 Nov 2022 After being edged in a close, hard-fought battle last June in Korea, Thailand's brave 27-year-old warrior woman Phannaluk Kongsang looks forward to going back to 'The Land of the Morning Calm' to fight her world-ranked nemesis Hee Jung Yuh again. The two women will throw heavy artillery at each other again on Saturday, December 7, for Hee Jung Yuh's WBC International Super Flyweight Title as well as her world-rankings. Who will claim victory this time around? The last time Phannaluk and Hee Jung Yuh waged war, fans at the Citizens Gym in Daegu saw the beautiful Korean veteran of Gimhae getting awarded a win by points from the all-Korean panel of judges. Notably, one of the the judges, Joong Suk Kwon, score the rumble 97-96 in favor of the tough Hee, giving just 1 point lead for her compatriot. "That 97-96 scoring was in fact not bad because the fight was very close." assures Phannaluk's coach/manager Supanat Chanram of Thailand's Highland Boxing Gym. "From my eyes, the fight could have gone either way, although a draw would have been more in sync with reality," Supanat thinks. "That is why Phannaluk is looking forward to going back to Korea, ready to give fans for more action, aiming at a big win. "For that, we are training hard at our Highland Gym in Bangkok, because we expect an even more competitive fight. Plus, after those 10 rounds in Daegu, the two fighters now know each other very well. “We want to beat Hee clear and decisively to get into world rankings.” A former world title challenger, Hee Jung Yuh is currently in the Super Flyweight world rankings as # 4 in the WBC, # 11 in the IBF and # 4 in the WBA. In addition, the 23-year-old Korean warrior is also the reigning, defending WBC International Super Flyweight Champion. A boxer and also a Muay Thai combatant Phannaluk Kongsang (a.k.a. Petchchumpae Highland Gym) wants crown, rankings, plus sweet revenge. Will she get it? Will the smiling, yet brave and experienced Thailand fighter Phannaluk emerge victorious December in cold Korea? |
