2-time Olympians Yuberjen Martinez & Leonel de los Santos in action this Friday in Colombia PhilBoxing.com Thu, 28 Jul 2022 Yuberjen Martinez> BOSTON (July 27, 2022) – Two-time Olympians Yuberjen “Tremendo” Martinez and Leonel de los Santos, the future of Fighter Locker, will both be in action this Friday night at Elias Chegwin Coliseum in Barranquilla, Colombia. Martinez, 30, represented Colombia in the last two summer Olympic Games, capturing a silver medal in 2016. The flyweight will be making his long anticipated professional debut, at home, against Yeison “El Chino” Hernandez (6-3, 2 KOs), of Argentina, in a 6-round bout. Martinez was a highly decorated amateur who, in addition to his Olympics experiences, won gold medals at the 2014 & 2018 Central American & Caribbean Games and the 2018 South American Games. He also took bronze at the prestigious 2017 World Championships, bronze at the 2019 Pan American Games. The 27-year-old Santos (6-0, 5 KOs), fighting out of the Dominican Republic, faces veteran Colombian lightweight Luis Diaz Marmol (18-15, 11 KOs) in a 6-rounder. Santos, a southpaw, won a silver medal at the 1019 Pan-American Games. “I'm very excited to have these two Olympian fighters on an ESPN Deportes broadcast,” manager Ryan Roach (Fighter Locker) said. “Both fighters are facing some tough opposition. They had great camps, so look for some explosive action Friday!
