SD FIGHT NIGHT: FAMILY BUSINESS DOUBLE MAIN EVENTS SET AS JULIUS “JUJU” BALLO SQAURES OFF AGAINST ROMAN REYES AT FRONTWAVE ARENA ON SATURDAY, APRIL 18, 2026 PhilBoxing.com Mon, 23 Mar 2026 ![]() Oceanside, Calif. (March 20, 2026) – Frontwave Arena and G2G Promotions today announced the opponent for surging San Diego-born prospect Julius "JuJu" Ballo (2-0), as he prepares to co-headline SD Fight Night: Family Business with his cousin Jonny Mansour (6-0, 2 KOs) on Saturday, April 18 in Oceanside, Calif. Tickets for SD Fight Night: Family Business are on sale now at AXS.com. The first fight of the evening begins at 5 p.m. PT, and broadcast and streaming details will be announced shortly. Touting an uber-successful amateur campaign that consists of 60 bouts, Julius “JuJu” Ballo made his professional debut at the world-famous Madison Square Garden Theater last year, dominating Brandan Ayala en route to a unanimous decision victory. In a sophomore outing further cementing his status as a future star, the 2024 Golden Gloves Champion faced Juan Centeno, a rugged veteran nearly ten years his senior and with 40 more professional fights than the young Southern Californian. Now with two statement unanimous decision victories under his belt, “JuJu” will meet Santa Ana, Calif. native Roman Reyes (6-1,5 KOs) in a super featherweight attraction. In a significant step up in opponent for Ballo, the heavy-handed Reyes sports five knockout victories, most recently scoring a fourth-round stoppage over Matias Agustin Arriagada one year ago, further highlighting his fight stopping power. Kicking off his career with four straight knockouts, Reyes has established himself as a dangerous opponent and the toughest test of Ballo’s young professional career. The California-born Reyes now resides and trains out of Greenville, S.C., and enters the bout intent on playing spoiler, looking to derail Ballo’s momentum on what is expected to be a pivotal night in the rising prospect’s hometown on the first edition of SD Fight Night. “Roman Reyes is a great opponent. He has five knockouts in his six victories as a pro,” said Ballo. “I respect that, but he’s going to learn that it’s different when he gets in the ring with me. I’m on a whole different level and he and my hometown fans are going to see that April 18 at Frontwave Arena.” In addition, Frontwave Arena and G2G Promotions have announced two additional bouts to join the stacked fight card. In a super lightweight affair, Oceanside, Calif.’s own Kyle Erwin (10-3, 5 KOs) prepares to face Jose Marrufo (15-18-2, 2 KOs) right in his backyard. Meanwhile, undefeated super bantamweight prospect Richard Fernandez Jr. (4-0, 3 KOs) of San Antonio will welcome the Philippines’ Sugary Montales (6-2, 4 KOs) stateside for his first professional fight in the U.S. SD Fight Night: Family Business Frontwave Arena, Oceanside, Calif. | Saturday, April 18, 2026 Super Featherweight Double-Main Event – 6 Rounds Julius “JuJu” Ballo (2-0) vs. Roman Reyes (6-1,5 KOs) Lightweight Double-Main Event – 8 Rounds Jonny Mansour (6-0, 2 KOs) vs. William King (6-3-2, 3 KOs) Super Welterweight Bout – 6 Rounds Angel Munoz (8-2, 6 KOs) vs. Cruz Becerra Monteon (3-1, 1 KO) Bantamweight Bout – 6 Rounds Isaac Anguiano (10-1-1, 4 KOs) vs. Jose Negrete (4-2, 4 KOs) Super Lightweight Bout – 6 Rounds Kyle Erwin (10-3, 5 KOs) vs. Jose Marrufo (15-18-2, 2 KOs) Super Lightweight Bout – 6 Rounds Jose Chollet (6-2, 4 KOs) vs. Jose Cruz (2-3, 1 KO) Super Bantamweight Bout – 6 Rounds Richard Fernandez Jr. (4-0, 3 KOs) vs. Sugary Montales (6-2, 4 KOs) Super Lightweight Bout – 6 Rounds John Ornelas (5-2-1, 2 KOs) vs. Lester Brown (5-4-3, 3 KOs) Super Lightweight Bout – 4 Rounds Franklin Garcia (1-0, 1 KO) vs. Rahmel McKinley (1-2) *Bouts Subject to Change |
