Mickey Bey vs. Tevin Farmer Clash Back on at the Findley Toyota Center in Prescott, AZ on August 12, 2022

PhilBoxing.com

LAS VEGAS, NV (July 25, 2022) – After an unforeseen delay postponed the bout between former world champions Mickey Bey (23-3-1, 11 KOs) and Tevin Farmer (30-5-1, 6 KOs, that saw their originally fight in Dubai postponed, a new location and date has been set. Bey vs. Farmer, a 10-round lightweight bout, will now take place at the Findlay Toyota Center, in Prescott Valley, Arizona, on August 12, 2022, broadcasted worldwide on RedemptionPPV.com.

"Putting this fight together has been a challenge but now we finally have a date and location." said Bey, who is returning to the ring after nearly a three-year layoff. "I’m happy that we can bring a world-class fight to the fans at an affordable price. It was unfortunate what happened with the fight getting postponed in April, but everything happens for a reason. This postponement gave us more time to prepare and the fans will be the beneficiaries of a great fight. We'll both be going to war!"

Farmer, who last fought against Joseph Diaz (32-2-1, 15 KOs) back in January of 2020, is now at a new weight class…lightweight. Motivated by the new faces of the division, a win against Mickey Bey provides him a chance to get in the ring with the likes of Ryan Garcia, Tank Davis and Devin Haney.

“This is for our legacy as we're both former world champions looking to end our careers on a high note," said Farmer. "I want to go down as a true old-school fighter, and I believe Mickey feels the same, that is why we are putting everything on the line. Everything we have ever gotten in our careers has been earned. Fans can expect an explosive fight and everyone should order this PPV to see a great night of boxing.”

As it has been well documented, Mickey Bey's last bout was a split-decision loss to George Kambosos Jr. (20-1, 10 KOs), at Madison Square Garden in New York City in December of 2019. The fight was extremely close, and not long after, Kambosos Jr. would upset the biggest emerging star in the sport of boxing in Teófimo López (16-1, 12 KOs).

"I want to come back, win a world title, and face some of the biggest names in the sport," furthered the fighter and coach Bey, who trains in Las Vegas. “One of my goals is to finish my career off on a world tour, mostly fighting internationally to see where my skillset ranks amongst the very best the world has to offer.”
