MANANQUIL FACES CAFU IN SOUTH AFRICA

Super Flyweight prospect Ben Mananquil (18-2) of Sanman boxing is up to a big challenge as he faces Phumelela Cafu for the WBA Intercontinental Super Flyweight Title. The fight will be held on July 29 in East London, South Africa in the undercard of the Apolinario vs Buthelezi event. Mananquil suffered a career setback when he lost to Yuki Kobayashi but bounced back lately with a TKO victory over Crison Omayao.
“This is a great opportunity to bring my career back to the top. My loss to Kobayashi was a set back and this will fix it. I need this win to be able to climb the rankings and get the bigger fights. Fighting in South Africa is very difficult. The only way to secure a win is to knock the home fighter out. I have to do my best to win this fight inside the rounds. I am prepare to do this”, Mananquil stated.
