OSCAR DE LA HOYA AND STEVE FORBES ARRIVE IN LOS ANGELES THIS SATURDAY TO PARTAKE IN FIGHT WEEK ACTIVITIES

LOS ANGELES (April 24, 2008) - Oscar de la Hoya and Steve Forbes will both arrive in Los Angeles this Saturday and immediately partake in activities to promote their May 3 "Homecoming" bout at The Home Depot Center's 27,000 seat soccer stadium in Carson, CA which will be televised live on HBO's World Championship Boxing.

De La Hoya, who will be arriving in the afternoon from his training camp in Puerto Rico, will go immediately to Dodger Stadium where he will throw out the ceremonial first pitch for that evening's Dodgers vs. Colorado Rockies game. Simultaneously, Forbes, flying in Saturday afternoon from his Las Vegas training camp, will head to the Home Depot Center Soccer Stadium midfield-the same spot where the ring will be placed for his bout against De La Hoya-to participate in the ceremonial coin toss and official LA Galaxy team photo prior to the start of the Galaxy's game against Chivas USA that night. Other activities planned for fight week include:

Monday, April 28, 2:00pm ET/11:00am PT, DE LA HOYA VS FORBES TRAINER CONFERENCE CALL, Floyd Mayweather Sr. and Jeff Mayweather, respective trainers for Oscar de la Hoya and Steve Forbes will conduct an international conference call with media members to discuss their fighters' preparations for the fight.

Tuesday, April 29, 12:00pm PT, OPEN MEDIA WORKOUT. Steve Forbes, Vicente Escobedo and Mexican Julio Garcia will workout at the La Brea Boxing Club as they make final preparations for Homecoming weekend. Both Escobedo and Garcia will appear on the May 2 "Noche de Boxeo y Musica" Telefutura Solo Boxeo fight card also from the Home Depot Center Tennis Stadium.

Wednesday, April 30 11:30am PT, DE LA HOYA VS. FORBES FINAL PRESS CONFERENCE, Los Angeles Public Library (Outdoor Plaza)-Oscar de la Hoya and Steve Forbes, along with other fighters from both weekend fight cards, will be on-hand to share their final comments. Thursday, May 1, 3:00pm PT, GOLDEN BOY "RISING STARS" PRESS CONFERENCE, Golden Boy Promotions will introduce their "future stars" of boxing as they descend upon Los Angeles to partake in the "Homecoming" events. Location: Millennium Biltmore Hotel Media Center(Gold Room), Address: 506 S. Grand Street (corner of Grand and 5th)

4:00pm PT, "NOCHE DE BOXEO Y MUSICA" OFFICIAL WEIGH IN Vicente Escobedo and Julio Garcia, along with undercard fighters participating on the May 2 fight card will take to the scales for their official weigh in. Location: Millennium Biltmore Hotel Media Center (Gold Room)

6:30pm PT, 83rd ANNUAL BOXING WRITERS ASSOCIATION OF AMERICA AWARDS DINNER, Boxing enthusiast can join the fun and see their favorite boxing stars including fighter of the year Floyd Mayweather. Comedian George Lopez will serve as emcee and music sensation Gypsy Magic will perform during the evening's grand affair. Location: Biltmore Hotel Bowl Room 506 S. Grand Street (corner of Grand and 5th), Times: 6:30pm - Cocktails 7:30pm - Dinner. Note: BWAA Dinner is open to the public and tickets are still available by calling BWAA hotline 212-969-0401.

Friday, May 2, 12 Noon PT, DE LA HOYA VS FORBES OFFICIAL WEIGH IN-OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. Oscar de la Hoya and Steve Forbes will head to the scales at approximately 12:30pm PT for their May 3 "Homecoming" bout. Location: Pershing Square (Main Stage on North End). Call Time: 12:00pm. On Scale: 12:30pm. Note: This event is open to the public. Fans are encouraged to show up early.
