Young Asian Boxing Promoters Plan More Shows and Cooperation.

With the steady improvement of the pandemic situation, which has badly affected boxing all over the world, young, active Asian promoters meet to talk about ways to reignite boxing with more exciting cards and cooperation aiming to provide boxers in the region with more opportunities to display their skills and potential.

Young Thai men of boxing Terry Laosuwanwat of TL Promotions, active promoter Tan Telecom, head of Tan Telecomo Boxing Promotions and Filipino Brico Santig of the Highland Boxing Team held a business lunch earlier this week, addressing ways to increase frequency of fight cards in the coming weeks and months in the Philippines and Thailand.

The intention is to pit boxers from the two boxing-loving nations competing in exciting matches, many of them in battles for regional WBC, ABF, WBL and WBC Asian titles.

Those fights will provide fantastic international exposure for Thai and Pinoy boxers as well financial opportunities and the chance to claim an important belt that would surely boost their careers, even getting them in the prestigious sanctioning bodies world rankings.

To that effect, in the coming weeks, Terry Laosuwanwat, known for his successful televised boxing series "The Fighter," plans to continue cooperation with Tan Telecom and Brico Santig, enabling more competitive shows, such as the fantastic performance of Adrian Laresan, the Filipino fighter who has scored three successive thrilling stoppage wins in Thailand.

That's why, more stirring shows are unfolding in the coming weeks. including a WBA Asia double-header on May 7 in Bangkok, featuring Tanes Ongjunta (9-1) vs Jakrawut Majungoen (41-1-1) for the WBA Asia Flyweight Ttile; plus, unbeaten Thitisak Hoitong in is 4th fight against Kitidech Hirunsuk for the WBA Light Flyweight Strap.

The TL Promotions action show is followed the next week by Highland Boxing Team show on May 14, staging an exciting international 7-bout card featuring international ABF title fights, featuring boxers from Japan, Indonesia, Thailand, France, Pakistan, The Philippines, Uzbekistan, India and Turkey.

Not many boxing shows around the world can boast such a diverse line-up of boxers from so many different countries fighting each other for the delight of fans.

"We are doing that show with boxers from all those countries. One great night of action," said enthusiastic young promoter Brico Santig, born in Benguet, Philippines, who is actively promoting shows in the Philippines, Thailand and Dubai.

Some of the boxers fighting in the May 14 Highland show at the super fancy and stylish Space Plus Club located at the 3rd floor of the RCA Plaza in Bangkapi, Bangkok, are Toshihiko Era of Japan taking on Indonesian Frans Damur Palue for the ABF Strap.

Plus, in Heavyweights, Surawut Wakuram of Thailand in action against big Taimoor Khan of Pakistan.

Also, fans will enjoy Dauronbek Kurbonov of Uzbekistan trading big bombs with intensity, as well as undefeated Turkish Baris Erdogan of Karaman, Turkey and Afridi Shahir of Pakistan locking horns against tough local Thai battle-tested warriors, which include Vachayan Kamon.

Unbeaten 23-year-old French pro boxer Florent Dervis born in Privas, Ardèche, France, will see action as well in Brico Santig's coming show in Bangkok, which is before Santig's planned next show in Dubai, U.A.E.

Tantelecom Boxing Promotions is also producing more Asian title fights, wanting so much to get electrifying Filipino Adrian Lerasan (11-4, 4 KO's) vs Thailander Nattapong Jankaew (9-0, 5 KO's) in a hot WBC/WBA Asia Super Flyweight Title unification. That's Tantelecom plan and so much more.

"The three of us want more competitive, exciting fights. Because it's good for fans and for our sport of boxing," said Terry Laosuwanwat, son of the legendary Niwat Laosuwanwat, the exciting veteran promoter who in the 1980's guided Thailand's KO Artist Khaosay Galaxy into a Hall of Famer career.

Terry Laosuwanwat, Brico Santig and Tan Telecom, three young promoters with passion for boxing, aim to rock Asian boxing to a next level.

Their business lunch in Bangkok was not only delicious and enjoyable, but also successful in cementing even further the excellent friendship and working relations between the most outstanding young promoters in Asia.
