Lerasan fails to get belt for 3rd time despite winning
By Lito delos Reyes PhilBoxing.com Thu, 17 Mar 2022

NEWLY-crowned World Boxing Council (WBC) Asian Boxing Council Super Flyweight champion Adrian “Wild Beast” Lerasan of Antipolo City has again failed to get the belt despite winning it by technical knockout over Phonghsaphon Panyakum of Thailand last February 26 in Bangkok.
The supervisor of the title fight was Poptorn Roongsamai of Thailand.
The 23-year-old Lerasan also did not get the two belts earlier he won in Thailand.
He first won the vacant World Boxing Association Asia Super Flyweight title by a technical knockout over Tanes Ongiunta of Thailand in the 8th round last March 1, 2020 at Suamlum Night Bazaar in Ratchadaphisek, Bangkok.
Lerasan then knocked out Suradech Ruhasiri of Thailand in the 5th round to win the vacant WBC Asian Boxing Council Continental Super Flyweight title last October 2, 2021 at I-Mobile Football Stadium in Buriram.
The supervisors of the two earlier events were Charm Prayadsab and Surapote Pongjivanich, respectively.
“Hindi ko po alam basta alam ko ayun yung pinag labanan na belt at nakataya yun kasi tatlong beses na nangyare eh (I don't know as long as I know that battle belt and it's a bet because it happened three times)," said Lerasan.
“Hindi man lang sila naawa na ibigay ang belt kasi naka tatlo na ako eh,(They didn't even feel sorry to give me the belt because I'm already three)," said Lerasan.
Lerasan, who is still in Thailand due to personal reasons, will go home on April 5.
His trainer Richard Garcia also experienced it when he fought and won the PABA flyweight title against Anucha Phothong by a majority decision last October 3, 2008 in Thailand.
Garcia did not receive the belt or trophy from the organizer.
