MTK Global signs rising star Jordan Purkiss PhilBoxing.com Wed, 19 Jan 2022  Purkiss (2-0, 1 KO) has won both of his professional bouts since making his debut in September, including a stoppage win in Kazakhstan in December. The Essex fighter also had a lot of success as an amateur, winning the Haringey Box Cup twice, the Celtic Box Cup, and the Senior Development Championships. Purkiss now looks set to achieve big things after teaming up with MTK Global, and the 26-year-old is certain that there will be plenty of success. Purkiss said: "I’m delighted to be signed by MTK Global, and it's what I’ve wanted ever since I was a amateur and more importantly a professional. I’m overwhelmed I have the opportunity to join the biggest force in boxing. "I’m pleased with what I have achieved so far and I look forward to the future. My coaches and I have got a goal and a plan for the professional game which will benefit myself, them and MTK. "I fought in Kazakhstan in my last fight and the experience to go to another country for just my second bout was unreal. I wanted to go out of my comfort zone without friends and family to see what it would be like, as I have no doubt that the opportunity to go to another country in the future will be on the cards. "What I’m hoping to achieve now I’ve joined MTK Global is to be as busy and successful as possible and push for titles soon, starting with the Southern Area title. "Fans can expect from me an exciting explosive style with power to come along with it. I have a good engine and dedication to ensure entertainment to those who watch, so I can’t wait for everyone to see what I’m about."
