Below are the early results of the undercard bouts of the Gervonta Davis vs Isaac Crus WBA lightweight championship at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA Sunday (Monday in Manila).

5th bout: 10 rounds super featherweight
Former WBA interim champion Eduardo Ramirez of Los Mochis, Mexico, recovered from a third round knockdown to win by wide unanimous decision over twice world title challenger Miguel Marriaga of Arjona, Columbia. Judges Marcos Rosales, Max DeLuca and Damian Walton had identical scores of 99 to 90 in favor of Ramirez who improved his record to 26-2-3 with 12KOs. Marriaga absorbed his 5th defeat and went down to 30-5-0, 26KOs.


4th bout: 4 rounds heavyweight
Carlos Garcon (2-0-1, 2KOs) of Las Vegas, NV split draw with Jason Soto (3-1-2, 3KOs) of Bakersfield, CA.


3rd bout: 10 rounds super welterweight
Vaughn Alexander (16-6-1, 9KOs) of Saint Louis, MO upset SD10 Luis Arias (19-3-1, 9KOs) of Boca Raton, FL by 10-round split decision. Scores: Jerry Cantu 96-93 and Tom Carusone 96-93 in Alexander's favor while Tiffany Clinton gave it to Arias at 96-93.
Arias was deducted a point for using his shoulder to hit Alexander in round 5.


2nd bout: 6 rounds bantamweight
Ava Knight (20-2-5, 5KOs) of Las Vegas, NV won by UD6 over Nancy Franco de Alba (19-16-2, 5KOs) of Guadalajara, Mexico.


Opening bout: 4 rounds super featherweight
Mia Ellis (3-0-0, 2KOs) of Baltimore, MD won by UD4 over Elizabeth Tuani (1-5-0, 0KOs) of SeaTac, WA.
