CHRISTY MARTIN PROMOTIONS RETURNS WITH MAYHEM IN MYRTLE 4 ON SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 20

PhilBoxing.com

On Saturday, November 20, at the beautiful Crown Reef Resort and Waterpark in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Christy Martin Promotions will proudly present “Mayhem In Myrtle 4,” a night of world-class professional boxing action.

In the night’s six-round main event, popular undefeated super featherweight Benigno “Benny” Aguilar (6-0, 3 KOs) from Crescent City, Florida, will face Miami via Managua, Nicaragua’s Julio “El Halconcito” Buitrago (13-32, 3 KOs).

Blessed with an army of supporters, Aguilar always brings a large collective of fans to watch his, thus far, always successful ring exploits. The 22-year-old is a patient counterpuncher with good power and an excellent jab. He will be looking to stay unbeaten against an experienced 47-fight veteran in Buitrago, who turned professional 16 years ago and has fought internationally several times.

General admission tickets for “Mayhem In Myrtle 4” are available for $50 at Eventbrite.com or locally at Beast Boxing Myrtle Beach (3870 S Kings Hwy, Myrtle Beach). Ringside Tickets are SOLD OUT.

The co-main event, announced last week at a special press conference in his hometown of Danbury, CT, will feature USA #1 amateur super heavyweight and national champion Fernely Feliz Jr. making his highly anticipated professional debut in a four-rounder against Stephen Kirnon (2-3-1, 1 KO) of Bronx, New York.

Scheduled for action is a six-round welterweight grudge match between Charlotte, North Carolina’s Kristopher Kyle Harrell (8-1, 6 KOs) and Durham, North Carolina veteran Marklin Bailey (6-7, 4 KOs).

And in one of the night’s other highly anticipated supporting bouts, promising undefeated super featherweight DeMichael Harris (5-0, 5 KOs) of Decatur, Georgia, via Cleveland, will put his perfect record on the line against Julio Gomez Leyva (0-1-1) of Norcross, Georgia via La Paz, Baja California Sur, Mexico.

Also scheduled is a six-round super middleweight bout between undefeated Russian power puncher Artem Brusov (9-0, 8 KOs) and Kannapolis, North Carolina, veteran Courtney McCleave (2-11, 1 KO); as well as an appearance by power-punching 6′ 7″ Nigerian heavyweight Onoriode “Godzilla” Ehwarieme (18-2, 17 KOs) against an opponent that is TBA.

In a special female attraction, Georgetown, Texas’ undefeated Destiny “Too Sweet” Jones (1-0) will also face pro debuting Shaniqua Frazier in a lightweight four-rounder. 22-year old Jones, from Cedar Park, Texas, had extensive amateur experience including the 2018 Austin Regional Golden Gloves; 2017 Nationals; 2017 Eastern Tournaments; and the USA Boxing Eastern Elite Qualifiers, among many others.

A pair of winless heavyweights, Julio Mendoza (0-1) from Crescent City, Florida, and Franklin, New York’s Drew Nolan (0-2), will each try to get into the win column over four rounds; while two undefeated featherweight prospects, Tampa, Florida’s Daniel “G.D.F.E.” Bailey (8-0, 4 KOs) and Roanoke, Virginia’s Donte Dunnaville (4-0, 3 KOs) will clash in a six-round showdown.

Bailey will be having his seventh fight of 2021, an unusual feat during normal times… a miracle during a pandemic, is the cousin of iron-fisted multi-weight world champion Randall “KO King” Bailey.

In another women’s battle, undefeated Miranda Reyes (4-0-1, 2 KOs) of Houston will return in a four-round super lightweight showdown against Covington, Kentucky’s Camille Casson; and in a four-round welterweight encounter, Alexander Thiel (1-0) of Oakland, California, will face Taylorsville, North Carolina’s Dylan Williams (0-1).

In another six-round middleweight scrap, Saint Petersburg, Florida’s undefeated Richard Graham (3-0-1, 2 KOs) will take on Julian Valerio (3-6, 2 KOs) of Green Cove Springs, Florida via Brooklyn, New York.

Rounding out the action will be a four-round lightweight battle, between Bronx, New York’s once-beaten Brandon Idrogo (4-1, 4 KOs) and winless Roderick Gilkey (0-11-1) of Memphis.

“I am excited about Mayhem 4; the card is loaded with a lot of young talent,” said promoter Christy Martin. “Beningo Aguilar is all-action and crowd-pleasing and I can’t wait to see Fernely Feliz make his professional debut. He has so much positive energy moving with him.”

The Crown Reef Resort and Waterpark is located at 2913 South Ocean Blvd. in Myrtle Beach. On fight night, doors open at 5 pm and the action starts at 6:00 pm.
