Woodward became the second automatic pick for the USA based on his Matchroom World Pool Ranking joining vice-captain Shane Van Boening on Jeremy Jones' side. The Kentucky Kid will don the USA colours for a seventh consecutive year: "It feels great to represent my country and get to play on the biggest stage. I am excited to be back. It wasn't the same without the fans last year, I am very excited that the fans are back. It's the atmosphere. It's so much more alive when they are there. Alexandra Palace is always loud and noisy; we can thrive on that atmosphere and make the most of it."
