GM Joey Antonio wins BVP Santos Optical Chess Tournament

MANILA, Philippines---GRANDMASTER (GM) Rogelio “Joey” Antonio Jr. pocketed the top honors in the BVP Santos Optical Chess Tournament virtually held at Lichess.org Platform on Saturday, September 25, 2021.
The 13-time Philippine Open champion Antonio collected 88 arena points to win the online bullet tournament which attracted 122 players in the event.
Sherwin Tiu finished second with 70 points while National Master (NM) Xavier John Verdun placed 3rd overall with 62 points.
National Master (NM) Raymond Salcedo placed fourth with 56 points while Xavier School top player National Master Ivan Travis Cu and Tristan Jared Cervero landed at fifth to sixth place with 54 points apiece.-Marlon Bernardino-
