SFT 29: “Nogueira vs. Santos OFFICIAL RESULTS

SAO PAULO, Brazil (September 4, 2021) – Luis “Betaso” Nogueira won the “SFT 29” main event this past Thursday night in Sao Paulo, Brazil. However, he was ineligible to win the vacant SFT MMA Interim featherweight title for failing to make the maximum weight for the division.

SFT 29 was streamed exclusively on FITE in the United States and worldwide on pay per view via the FITE app and website (www.FITE.tv), starting at 6:00 p.m. ET / 3:00 p.m. PT, for only $14.99.

In his SFT debut, Nogueira (23-9-2) used a hand triangle on Heliton dos Santos (19-8-1), who tapped out late in round one.

In the co-featured event, flyweight Marcos Brigagao (10-3-0) won by way of a first-round technical knockout, when veteran Acacio “Pequeno” dos Santos (13-4-0) was unable to continue fighting after round one due to an injury. SFT President David Hudson is considering a rematch between Brigagao and “Pequeno” for the entertaining value.

Flyweight Danilo Adreani used a rear naked choke to win by second-round submission versus Andre “Del Loco: Azevedo (11-10-0), one of the oldest SFT fighters.

Flyweight Fernanda Barbosa (6-5-0) lost her second straight SFT MMA match, albeit in a disputed match decision to SFT-debuting Karoline “Mao De Pedra” Martins (8-4-0).

Strawweight Jeane Ruas remained undefeated (3-0-0), taking a unanimous decision against Alana Sousa (3-3-0), the sister of former SFT champion Cleber Sousa. Alana came in overweight and lost two points during the entertaining, bloody bout, but Ruas won each round on her own.

Undefeated bantamweight Patriozio “Tiradentes” de Souza improved to 7-0-0, winning his first SFT fight by close decision (29-28 X 3) versus Isaias “Carcaca” Simoes (7-4-0).

The married Sattlemayers split a pair of Xtreme matches. Flyweight Aline Sattelmayer and bantamweight Ramon Costa were victorious, respectively, defeating Edna Nunes by unanimous decision and Ricardo Sattlemayer by way of an opening-round knockout.

SFT Xtreme allows striking, kicking and knees, fighters wear 4-ounce gloves, and clinching and fighting on the mat is prohibited.
