SEPTEMBER 9: Jamel Herring & Shakur Stevenson to Face Off at Atlanta Press Conference

ATLANTA (September 3, 2021) — The Throwdown in A-Town — the Oct. 23 super fight between WBO junior lightweight world champion Jamel Herring and undefeated former featherweight world champion Shakur Stevenson — promises fistic fireworks at Atlanta’s award-winning State Farm Arena.
The two fighters will meet face-to-face for the kickoff press conference Thursday, Sept. 9 at 11 a.m. at the Omni Atlanta Hotel. The press conference will also feature middleweight prospect Nico Ali Walsh (1-0, 1 KO), the grandson of Muhammad Ali who made a splash in his professional debut in August. Ali Walsh will fight in a four-round bout against an opponent to be named.
Promoted by Top Rank, Herring-Stevenson, Ali Walsh’s bout, and a co-feature will air live on ESPN and ESPN Deportes (simulcast on ESPN+) at 10:30 p.m. ET/7:30 p.m. PT.
Tickets go on sale Friday, Sept. 10 at 10 a.m. ET and can be purchased at ticketmaster.com.
