EARLY RESULTS FROM LAS VEGAS: DATO LOSES TO CONTRERAS

Below are the off-TV undercard results of the Manny Pacquiao vs Yordenis Ugas WBA welterweight championship at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada Saturday (Sunday morning in Manila).
John Dato of Bangar, La Union was dropped by his Mexican opponent Angel Antonio Contreras in the third round en route to a unanimous decision loss in their 8-round featherweight contest.
Scores: Max DeLuca 78-73, Patricia Morse Jarman 77-74 and Dave Moretti 77-74 all in favor of Contreras.
Dato absorbed his first loss and dropped to 14-1-1, 9KOs while Contreras improved his record to 11-4-2, 6KOs.
