SHOWTIME SPORTS RELEASES FIRST LOOK AT ALL ACCESS: PAUL VS. WOODLEY

PhilBoxing.com

ALL ACCESS: PAUL VS. WOODLEY
Premieres Saturday, August 14 at 9:30 p.m. ET/6:30 p.m. PT on SHOWTIME®

NEW YORK (August 13, 2021) – SHOWTIME Sports has released the never-before-seen opening tease from ALL ACCESS: PAUL VS. WOODLEY, premiering Saturday, August 14 at 9:30 p.m. ET/6:30 p.m. PT on SHOWTIME® in advance of highly-anticipated Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley SHOWTIME PPV fight card on Sunday, August 29 from Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Ohio. To watch and/or share the first look clip, visit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d68MYG8q8Fc

The debut of the 30-minute episode will immediately precede SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING (10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT) from Carson, Calif., a tripleheader of live boxing headlined by a 118-pound title fight between two-division world champion Guillermo Rigondeaux and WBO bantamweight world champion John Riel Casimero.

The latest installment of the Emmy Award-winning series brings viewers behind-the-scenes as Paul and Woodley prepare for their blockbuster event on August 29. SHOWTIME highlights Paul, a world-renowned content creator and undefeated professional boxer, as he prepares for the biggest fight of his budding career in Puerto Rico before he heads to his hometown to take on the former UFC world champion Woodley, who is training out of Miami. ALL ACCESS captures the promotion from the kickoff event in Miami in early June to the two-city press tour in Los Angeles and Cleveland, and into the grueling training camps in their respective cities.

“I was a young, wild, reckless, famous kid with money,” said Paul. “It was going to be a dead end for me. Boxing was the thing that pulled me out, it gave me purpose and routine. It has made me the best version of myself. It sounds like a cliché boxing movie but it’s really how it is.”

Both fighters are trained by boxing veterans. Paul, 24, is trained by former world title contender BJ Flores, while Woodley is under the tutelage of Gerald Tucker, who most recently was the head trainer for Floyd Mayweather when he faced Jake’s brother Logan Paul earlier this summer.

“I have always been the ultimate underdog,” said Woodley in the 30-minute edition of ALL ACCESS. “I have always done everything that people said I couldn’t do. Now I am turning those obstacles to ashes and anything that gets in front of me is getting roasted.”

The pay-per-view telecast begins at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on Sunday, August 29, and is available for purchase now for $59.99 at SHOWTIME.com/PPV and via the SHOWTIME app, and is available to order through all major cable, satellite and telco providers in the U.S. and Canada.

The five-fight SHOWTIME PPV event will feature a complete undercard of world-class professional boxing including Puerto Rican star and WBC/WBO Featherweight World Champion Amanda “The Real Deal” Serrano defending her titles against super bantamweight world champion Yamileth Mercado of Mexico in the co-featured bout. Former junior welterweight world champion Ivan Baranchyk will step into the ring to face the unbeaten Cleveland-native Montana Love in a 10-round showdown. Rounding out the PPV telecast will be two U.K stars making their stateside debut as the hard-hitting heavyweight Daniel “Dynamite” Dubois, who is ranked No. 1 by the WBA, will face Juiseppe Angelo Cusumano in a 10-round matchup, and Tommy “TNT” Fury, the younger brother of heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury, will square off against combat sports veteran Anthony “Pretty Boy” Taylor in a six-round, 180-pound catchweight fight to open the pay-per-view telecast.
