Tyler "Short Fuse" Tomlin Wraps Up Sparring Session in Las Vegas

PhilBoxing.com

LAS VEGAS, NV (August 8, 2021) – Undefeated super lightweight prospect, Tyler “Short Fuse” Tomlin (11-0, 7 KOs), took the show on the road as he went to the fight capital of the world, Las Vegas, Nevada, to get some sparring with some of the best fighters in the world. Tomlin got some great rounds in with undefeated super featherweight Andres Cortes (14-0, 7 KOs) and Super lightweight Sanjarbek Rakhmanov (12-3-1, 6 KOs).

“This is world-class sparring, and this is what I need to go to the next level,” said Tomlin, who recently signed with famed promoter Lou DiBella. “My goal is to be a world champion, but to be that you can't just stay-at-home and assume that the work will come to you. I hit the road and made sure that I am seeing all different types of looks and am well prepared for everything boxing brings my way.”

Tomlin, who is looking to return at the end of August is excited to get into these types of camps to gain more experience.

“It is important to see the world if you want to be a world champion,” said Darryl Tomlin, Ty’s father, trainer, and co-manager. “We got some great work, especially with Andres Cortes, and this is the type of sparring that helps a young fighter go to the next level. Ty gets to see what a fighter going into a big fight at the end of camp goes through, and how he performs and trains.”

"Las Vegas is the center of the boxing world, so I needed to come here to see what the work is like," continued Tomlin. "I am now signed with a major promoter, DiBella Entertainment, and I take my responsibilities as a professional, and a role-model to my community very seriously. I look forward to what the future holds."

Tomlin, who is the fighting pride of Ashland City, Tennessee, and known in the ring as "Short Fuse" is now ready for his next bout.

“I went to Florida and now I have been to Las Vegas for sparring and each trip has given me valuable experience,” Ty Tomlin concluded. “I am very excited to get back in the ring and show the world how much I have grown as a fighter from these trips and getting in there with some of the best fighters in all different weight classes. I am excited to put on a show for my fans and am investing in myself."
