EVERLAST PARTNERS WITH UNDEFEATED STAR ARCHIE SHARP

PhilBoxing.com

London, UK - 2 June 2021 - Everlast, the brand of choice for generations of world champion athletes, today proudly welcomes undefeated super-featherweight sensation Archie Sharp as its latest brand partner.

Sharp is widely-regarded as one of the best 130lb fighters on the planet, with his incredible accomplishments thus far earning him a current world ranking of #4 by the WBO.

The 26-year-old holds an unbeaten record of 19-0, and will look to add another win to that stellar resume by fighting for the vacant WBO Global super-featherweight title next month.

The last three years has seen Sharp earn victories over the likes of Leon Woodstock, Jordan McCorry, Declan Geraghty, Artjoms Ramlavs and Jeff Ofori, and the Londoner looks destined for huge things in the sport.

He is the latest to join Everlast’s existing stable of elite athletes, which includes Josh Taylor, Conor Benn, Lee McGregor, Chantelle Cameron, Liam Smith, Craig Richards, Natasha Jonas, Ramla Ali, Jordan Gill and Hopey Price. Together, the #TeamEverlast fighters seek to inspire the fight in us all.

In signing a long-term partnership with the premier fight sports and fitness brand, the athletes will use Everlast equipment and wear the new Greatness sportswear range. Battle-tested in one of the toughest athletic environments, Everlast products have been imagined by a hundred years in the gym, designed and engineered to empower your best self.

They exemplify Everlast’s values of authenticity and dedication, as we champion brave individuality, seeking out people and partners who express themselves boldly and creatively.

Commenting on the partnership, Sharp said: "I'm proud to be teaming up with Everlast. Growing up in boxing that was always the brand you saw associated with the biggest names in the sport, so to now have them backing me is a huge honour.

"It's a massive boost for me as I prepare to return from injury in an important fight next month, so I can't wait to get in there and represent Everlast in the best way possible by earning a dominant win."

Chris Zoller, Everlast’s VP of Marketing and Product Development, added: "We are thrilled to welcome Archie Sharp to the team. He's proven himself as one of the best fighters in Britain over the last few years, and we know that he has what it takes to go to the top.

"It is just a matter of time until he gets the chance to fight for a world title, and we're excited to now be with him along every step of the way towards that deserved shot at world honours."

Sharp made his professional debut back in 2015, and it didn't take long for him to make an instant impact, dropping Laszlo Fekete four times on his way to a fantastic first round knockout win.

That huge power has remained with Sharp throughout his career, with nine of his wins coming inside the distance, the most recent of those in September 2019 when he needed just four rounds to stop Declan Geraghty.

It isn't just knockout power that Sharp is known for, with his elite boxing ability and sublime timing earning him the nickname 'Sharpshooter.'

He looks to add another belt to his collection when he fights for the WBO Global title on 10th July, having already won the WBO European title back in 2018, and successfully making three defences of that belt.

Everlast and its users share an inner and outer strength. It is for those with a strong sense of self and commitment in whatever they do, in both athletic and non-athletic endeavours. Everlast supports the individual spirit that drives uniqueness and greatness within each of us.
